About Me

I'm a fairly annoying person, because I'll question the smallest things and philsosphize about minutiae when it's totally uncalled for. I don't necessarily want to be annoying (well sometimes I do), I just like thinking... and especially thinking for myself. I know this makes me a bad American, because I'm annoyed by advertisements and slogans unless they're in some way personally meaningful or significant. I don't like certain types of media entertainment (music, movies, etc.) just because they happen to be the "in" thing. I'm an individual and I like it that way. I believe in equality for everyone regardless of race, creed, culture, religion, or lifestyle. I'm very liberal in other words. I may even be Libertarian. Anyway, on a more personal note, I love music (so much so that I probably should have been a musician). In fact, I'm in the process of learning to play the Banjo. I love reading and writing. I consider myself somewhat of a poet. I write poetry as well as prose (and the occasional essay). I'm not affiliated with any religion (my beliefs don't fit any organized religion), but I consider myself spiritual in my own way. I love anything involving the paranormal. I have studied parapsychology for years now and have conducted my own "Ghost Hunts". I love the study of Cryptozoology and once again have researched it personally and written about it. I have been married to a most magnificent little lady whom I dearly love for almost 4 years now. Her name is Amy "Little Thing" Tackett. Now, you know a bit about me, so let's chat and get to know one another. I'm open to all sorts of discussion and debate.

Why do you write?

Chats on topics ranging from the meaning of life and our place in the universe to what a frog's throat might taste like with my blood brother, fellow freedom fighter, and hetero-lifemate, Sheldon Compton (who invited me to this site) tend to fuel my creativity.

Any favorite authors? Books?

Too numerous and wide-ranging to go into in this tiny space, but I'm sure there will be some discussion of that in smaller increments as I become accustomed to this site.
