I am a wife and mom living among the farm fields in central Michigan. My Golden Retriever, Cooper, is my faithful writing buddy. In December I released the first volume in The Bartonville Series, which is women's fiction in a variety of sizes ranging from flash to novella length. All of the books are set in Michigan and include recipes. I have also published two short story collection ebooks in my 6:1 (Six Stories:One Theme) Series. My stories have also appeared in Uncle John’s Bathroom Reader Flush Fiction, Luna Station Quarterly, Every Day Fiction, Long Story Short, Beadwork Magazine and many other publications and anthologies.
I love finding inspiration in rather unremarkable places. Sometimes a few of those snippets of information collide in my brain, fall in love and make story babies. The rush of creating people and the worlds they live in is addictive.
Barbara Samuel is my favorite author. Her writing is luscious, full of interesting characters, lush descriptions and mouth-watering culinary treats.
