About Me

I am a poet with 5 full-length books, 6 chapbooks, two books of translation (from Latin, and from Spanish & French versions of Hebrew and Arabic 11-13th c. poems), a full bibliography of an American poet, other non-fiction, and am editor of Swan Scythe Press, a poetry publishing venture (www.swanscythe.com). I have won grants and awards from the National Endowment for the Arts, the National Arts Council, PEN Center-NYC, Carnegie Fund for Authors, the Authors' League and other institutions. I make a living at least partly as a rare book scout.
