I'm a recent graduate of the University of Missouri, waiting to hear back from M.F.A. programs. If I'm lucky, I'll end up at the University of Manchester in the Centre for New Writing.
I'm also human. I play electric, acoustic, and bass guitar...and the ocarina. Yeah, that thing that Link plays in the Ocarina of Time.
I make the best pancakes you'll ever eat.
Grapes are my favorite food.
My element is Earth, and I think my spirit animal would be an elephant.
I have a deep-seated love for literature, and have been an avid reader since before I started Kindergarten. Of course, back then it was Dr. Seuss. Now it's Robert Jordan (requiescat in pacem) and Susanna Clarke.
Other than the natural part, I love the technical crafting of stories. Working with themes and tying storylines together aren't annoying challenges to me. They are fun!
Oh good lord...
Robert Jordan - The Wheel of Time Series (esp. "Eye of the World")
Dr. Seuss (I see where a lot of my environmental views were implanted early)
Stephen King - "The Gunslinger" (an the whole Dark Tower series)
Susanna Clarke - "Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell"
Ovid - "The Metamorpheses" (been translating this in school)
