Call for Submissions

by Peter Cherches

For this issue, we want pieces that kick you in the gut and leave your mouth bloody. We have diverse tastes. We're especially listening for under-represented voices, Midwesterners, and writers who happen to be women. We have an affinity for second-person POV in short fiction. We get a lot of submissions about death and dying, so how about some about life and living? We want your thought fragments, ramblings, disturbing imagery, nonsensical utterances, upsetting sentences, grotesque scribblings, and unsettling desires. Our goal is to produce a book every year that both children and adults can learn from and enjoy. Don't limit yourself to ghosts, zombies, monsters, and serial killers. We are storytelling for the modern brain.
