ok, class--my poet pal darryl wrote this, commenting on my story "Beautiful Girls" (which can be found here http://www.fictionaut.com/stories/gary-percesepe/beautiful-girls
"I had a few more thoughts on the feet of women: I think it's that they represent promise. That there is always more somehow.More to know, more to touch, more to taste, more to love. That they represent hope, beauty, sex, travel, exploration, invention, visions, place, a connection to the great mystery and also a doorway to the full experience of now. They promise so much and that can be like a torture, a cruelty. How could something so beautifully so mysteriously promising be so close and yet so far away? It's maddening, delicious, silly and oh so very very human.D"
I love my feet. They are dainty.
I'm cool with feet. Maybe not that cool with feet, but whatevs. As for cankles -- not a fan.
The promise that there is more to life than what you see.
