A beautiful perspective is expressed in the following article. On occasion I am woefully gone to the peopled world and mispaint and feel mispainted in others' insistence on stigma, then, as tonight, a window opens and I am able to say just the right thing from long experience that will help someone in exactly the right way. I talked about trauma not caused by malice, a physical trauma in this case that was no one's fault, and I stated that it requires attention so that it does not turn into fear of going or moving or walking. Later a stranger approached my stoop and began speaking partly in French of his love for Albert Camus and his belief that Camus and the existentialist writers define the one indispensable thing, one's life.
