This is the generally accepted limit to flash fiction and as a flash fiction group, please try to submit only stories within this limit. There are longer story and novel excerpt groups for longer works or you can whittle your longer pieces through revisions and revisions to fit current specifications. It tends to make the pieces better, not worse.
