here some notes that might be helpful for newcomers:
- a good way to get into fictionaut is to put a story up, and then parallel read some of the other new stories, comment on them, and “fav” those you really like.
- give it a bit of time.
- checkout the “about” note (http://www.fictionaut.com/about), and the FAQ (http://www.fictionaut.com/faq).
- stop by at the forums at some point (http://www.fictionaut.com/forums) – that’s also a good place to place questions.
- if you have a story up, and have been published in BluePrintReview, then feel free to add your story to the Blueprintreview group (to do that, go to your story, then click on the “Group it” button above the title – you get into a submenu then).
but most of all: enjoy, and have fun. this isn’t a competition, it’s a place for words and writers, for feedback, connections, inspiration, surprise discoveries, good reads.
Very well put, Dorothee. It's camaraderie in an otherwise quite lonely pastime.
Great advice -- thanks, Dorothee. John Minichillo also had some useful tips here: http://blog.fictionaut.com/2009/11/09/underground-except-out-in-the-wide-open/
a fictionautical meeting spot for contributors and friends of BluePrintReview: http://www.blueprintreview.de
browse the stories, check out the posts, leave a comment or a note.
and if you are published in / or have work upcoming in BluePrintReview, then add your fictionaut stories here.
enjoy ~
