Saw a youtube video showing how to inject ink into a HP cartridge.
Anyone do this, have a good source for GOOD refill ink? Refill kits?
(I tried one once where the ink wasn't waterproof...nasty.)
A cheaper way to go but it will eventually not allow you to print after several injections, thus forcing you to buy a ink cartridge anyway, so might as well buy one. Could possibly damage printer, too, so I've heard.
Thanks, Matt. But the ability to refill 2-3 times before having to buy new would be good.
Have you done/tried any of this?
No, but the teachers at the school where I work in the Philippines do this all the time with poor results, jams up the printer after awhile. Cheaper, yes, but not in the long run.
Do you know if they are using the real stuff? Real HP ink?
I bought a refill kit once that worked ok, though the ink was a bit blue, and then I discovered it wasn't even water-proof, so the whole thing was a fiasco.
Here's the link I was talking about:
Not sure if its the real stuff. They say it is. And they do it exactly like in the video. It does not turn blue or anything and it prints fine. But if they were to have larger projects it would then be a fiasco. Its also time consuming.
Hmmm...
I think I'm going to order some and give it a shot jsut to find out. I mean, I'm essentially buying a new printer every 6-8 months with the cost of cartridges.
Thanks, Mr. H.
Sure thing.
