Here are some ramblings about Fictionaut on Teleread.
Good job guys!
Robert Nagle
Thanks so much, Robert!
And here are some thoughts of mine, in response to a buddy who was unhappy with the site. Publishing to the right public. Fictionaut is not a workshop (there's no critique system) nor an edited journal, so what is it? Besides being kind of fun, I mean. I thinks it's a gathering place where writers can meet others, maybe find kindred spirits, and get at least some exposure of their works. And maybe that's enough.
Thanks for your thoughts, Geoff. I'd like to think that workshopping is possible on Fictionaut. There are a few private and one public group dedicated to critiquing, but you're right that http://www.fictionaut.com/groups/the-workshop isn't as busy as it might be. I always thought somebody might start a group for no-holds-barred hard-hitting criticism but it hasn't happened yet.
