I want to announce a new journal: Junk, a literary fix at http://junklit.com/about/
We're brand new and looking for nonfiction stories about addiction. Our mission is to publish breathtaking stories that explore some aspect of addiction, but in ways that one doesn't ordinarily think of as an addiction story.
Often stories about addicts are told as either testimonials, shocking confessionals or heartfelt tales of redemption. All that's fine. But it seems like there ought to be room to move beyond these types of portrayals and see what else we might find. You don't have to be an addict or write about addiction in any particular way for us to love your work. We're open to pretty much anything, as long as it's reasonably on topic.
