Estelle Bruno, who was an active Fictionaut member, died last week at the age of 92. Her last few years she experienced considerable health problems but continued to write her poems. Earlier in 2017 her work was published in the Olentangy Review and the Peacock Journal. Fictionaut was a great source of joy for Estelle, she loved reading the stories and poems here and sharing her own.
She was a lovely person and a fine writer. I'm saddened to learn this news.
So sad to hear this report.
Sorry to learn of this, Darryl, yet thanks for sharing it. I met Estelle Bruno at Jimmy's following Gary Percesepe's and Susan Tepper's reading there that included Rick Moody and that was attended by Mary Gaitskill. We enjoyed a coffee after the event.
