I recently came across "spritz", a way of reading online texts one word at a time, but with adjustable speed. I don't think I'd want to read a novel that way, but for the first or second or last reading of a page of flash, I've enjoyed this. You can add a "spritzlet" plugin to your browser (see http://www.spritzinc.com). I tested and recorded this for one of my flashes here: http://bit.ly/spritzprayer. Something odd happens when you switch from 350 wpm (which is fairly slow) to 500 wpm or higher...as a reading method, this seems very suited to flash. Thought I'd share this with you.

Txs Shel. Anything to help me procrastinate and not finish my manuscript... ;-)

Procrastination is the germ and the wellspring of all serendipity. Interesting, Marcus.

Good to see your fine perspectives here again. Now... get back to your manuscript.
