Forum / accordion book format? help?

  One of my current projects is a handmade 4 x 6 inch hardcover accordion book book of my micros, with watercolour illustrations by an artist friend ( they are perfect! this is going to be a beautiful thing when it's done, if I can wrangle the formatting). I've looked at the MS Word brochure format but not sure it will work for what I need to do. I'd like it to be printed on both sides of the paper. Has anyone dealt with this kind of format?

  Serious question:

  What does "accordion" mean? It folds out two or three feet long?
