    Thanks for putting up the link, Carol. A very interesting interview. I'm addicted to reading interviews, especially with other writers, and this was a good one. I liked in particular what Nathaniel had to say about the importance of place in his work. Sometimes the things other writers say can give you that "validation" for ideas of your own, the ones that you kind of doubt sometimes.

    It wasn't until I got to the reference about the "Nan" stories, though that I realized I knew his work--from Fictionaut, of course. I wonder if it's just me, or whether others might not know that he's one of us.
