THE DOCTOR OR NURSE WHO FOR BETTER (OR WORSE) I CAN'T FORGET
Try as we might, we can't take human relations out of the experience of illness. Thank goodness. When we are ill, we are especially vulnerable to the quality of care we receive, adequate or inadequate, coldly competent or well-meaning but inept, traumatizing or graced. We invite moving, insightful, and well-crafted poetry, short stories, memoir, and creative non-fiction that describes and explores defining experiences with doctors, nurses, therapist, social workers, and other healthcare professionals and its lasting impact on us and those around us. This print anthology will be a companion to our web anthology The Patient Who Changed My Life.
