K. & V. Mann (*), 1986

by Ivan R.

Travel,
Sojourn,
Travel.

Black Dover,
over Channel's parenthetical waves
the floating monk --
a mysterious ship, a seaside withers

Time: a black raisin
V. is infinity
(what is this?)
[pace dry planks, pace, dry rubber plod]
(grey enough, partly cloudy and haze)

foggy scab land gone,
V. floats

[Mann, dissolves]
white rails click when he touches the
chipping paint, old materials
his brittle; engraved; silver, O.
little circle, tck tck.

K. Mann scrapes the ring on his finger
and the waxen rail together.

A little spray
of white-paint, dry
serpentine skin of rails
floats away, away.

Date, odd
glaucous
because events never
happen, 1_o6
