Camellia Sinensis

by Charlotte Hamrick

Oolong in the morning -

lychee, honey, vanilla cream -
blossoms between sleep infused fingers,
flows over love bitten lips.

Sencha in the afternoon -
scent of april, naps in meadowgrass -
ardent skin warms in the sun.

Pu-erh under the moon -
old growth forests, beds of moss -
beguiled creatures whisper
dark secrets, dangerously sweet.
