About Me

Roberta Chloe Verdant is a writer based in the West Country in England, where she teaches creative writing workshops. Currently this includes a series drawing upon archetypes.

Roberta's own poetry, prose and fairy tale and myth revisions are widely published in the independent press: both online and in print, and can be found in venues such as "Mung Being" and "Full of Crow".

She likes Shamanism, the woods, fairy tale witches and dancing barefoot.

Why do you write?

I want to retell the story, to find the stories underneath the stories.

Didn't you have a story about chicken soup up? I was going to comment on it. Were you saying that what she, the grandmother, did not say, was in her mind? Anyway I detected something that signaled an important paranoid type, although you may not have meant to suggest that.
